Topic: problem receiving multiple emails to users

Hi there I use the SME 5.1.2 and have the following problem,

if i create a mail using any email client etc and send it to multiple users at my location, each user receives the same number of copies as the number of receipints in the list.  I will explain....

If i have 3 names in the To: field each name in the field receives that email 3 times
If i have 3 names in the CC filed each user receives that same multiple agian.  THis happens however amny of few receipients i use.

Can any one shed any light on why the mail q is genreating multiple copies of the email and not delivering it to multiple users.

Does any of this make sense?

I also use RAV to scan my mail on the same box.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi there, found the answer!

It wasnt the SME after all, but it was a fetchmail problem on the box that sent the mail to the SME, once i had added an "Apparently-to..." string to the originator box then the problem went away.
