Topic: VMWare

Hi all,

   I have a SME box 5.6 beta7 working just fine, but I need to setup a second SME box for completly diferent jobs and with a completly diferent configuration, but I don't have a extra machine for it, so I thought about vmware.
   What I need to know is if anyone knows some software like vmware, but to rum in the SME box console, since there is no graphical part involved.
   Does any one know something like that?

Considering the the cost to run a legal copy of vmware, you can have a second box!

Na, VMWare workstation for Windows or Linux costs about 320$ but WMWare GSX server is a completly different matter it goes about 3200$. If you have an stabdard Win PC (W2k or XP) at hand You go for VMWare. I have run all versions from 4.2 in VMWare, works perfect. VMWare workstation for Linux recuires X-windows so if You only got Your server box why not consider  bying an extra HD. In some bios You could chose whitch HDD to boot on or You could just switch cabels.
