Would you be more specific. Does this happen when making changes in the e-smith manager or when cruising the web?

making any changes through the manager is "slow". I think I read that specific behavior is being addressed for future changes. Are you running e-smith 4.1? If so there is an upgrade that was made available yesterday. I do not know if the slow manager behavior will be fixed or not. I don't think anything is wrong with your system. Of course more horse power couldn't hurt. I mean Cpu speed is not all that will enhance performance. Ram, system bus speed and of course disk access speed. I have my e-smith installed on a P120, 64M ram and 9.1Gig SCSI Ultra 160 Hd. My lan is 10 Mega bit. I also experience the slow manager changes, other than that I am very happy. Have you installled the Internet Jukebox? One of the really fun items abuot e-smith.  I use my Jukebox on my Lan more than my stereo.
