5.6?

Hi guys

I.m a happy user of 5.5 and was considering switching to 5.6, But recently i heard that 5.6 was more problematic compared to the slick 5.5. The guy didn't have the time to go into specifics, but to me it sounded like "stick with 5.5"!  Are there any annoying issues, impracticalities, etc. with 5.6 that one should be aware of?

thanx for reading.-jacques

I have to agree I had no issues with 5.5, and 2 nights ago I switched to 5.6 beta, (beta does me in test I know). The first problem I experienced was the server went down as normal (why shut it down incorrectly??, but soon I leared why) the install when flawlessly nice job to the install team. But when it booted for the first time I was in an endless loop to do a disk check (Granted I am a beginner I never knew how to use Fsck) So to get it out of this I searched the web and found that I needed to use not what the system recommended but e2fsck and with serveral switches to follow. I was pretty proud of myself for working through this myself considering I thought linux was easy after I installed and made work a pretty buggy copy of RedHat, oh how soon we learn. Now the only problem I have is a regular trip to hit the reset button on the server 2x a day when the server locks up!?! This is the first time ever that this server has ever locked!!! I when to www.familybrown.org and d/l'd the phpsysinfo that Dan is running (Thanks Dan!!) and I notice that the Memory tends to climb to and then it locks, and it appears that it doesn't use the swap file??? at all. So I would say if you are not on the level with REAL Linux commands wait!! wait!! and More WAIT!! I hope that someone can respond and say hey stupid you forgot to type this command and thats why this is doing this!!! SO thats my deal and HELP!!!
