Topic: AntiVir Mailgate on 5.5

Can´t start Antivir demon on 5.5 - AVMailGateFWD-Daemon is running ok.
AVMailGate-Daemon is STOPPED - I have reg. and installed avmgate.key.


Its ok on my old 5.12 server. Can someone help.

I had the same problem and found out that if, for some reason there is a mismatch between versions of binaeries an antivir.vdf, it wont start correctly. So install from the newest package from Antivir, make shure all binaeries and the *.vdf is from that package. Then try to start it.
Also, copy the hbedv.key file to it's own directory as: avmgate.key. Then it works with MailGate also

OHH... You also need to set /var/run/avgate to 700
