WinSCP settings

I ecently started using WinSCP and am experiencing some weird behaviour both on local and internet access.

Some directories just don't seem to open with WinSCP , yet I can access them via telnet on my local network, and also by samba/windows.  I connected as the owner of the directory, and the directory permissions were 777

I am suspicious that the number of files or levels of subdirectories is causing this, any ideas out there?

This behaviour was repeated using different windows clients on two separate sme5.5 servers

thx

What happens if you log in as root?

same problem even as root

I rebooted the SME system and the work station. Today I'm not experiencing the problem but AM getting legitimate permission error reports.

However, I experienced the same failures using my notebook to access a clients system.

Made me wonder if I was getting network errors on the larger transactions as that was the only commom factor.
