Hi all,
due to the fact that ldap authentication is not working for SME 5.6 i tried to install NIS-Service with the rpms from the last RedHat distri. But without success.
Problem is that we have 5 server that should hold the same user accounts and homedirs.
has somebody an idea how to do that best?
Why doesn´t SME support NIS or even LDAP for user authentication?

p.s. after big trouble with the boss becaus i couldn´t get pptp running on SME 5.6 i just installed a small debian box for the road warriors and could save my loved e-smith boxes
