HELP!

I was having problems with my e-mail so I got pissed and deleted the folders inside Maildir (tmp, cur, new.) I recreated them but as root, how can I change the permissions or recreate them right so that I can get my mail.

I suppose all you have to do is something like
mkdir cur
mkdir new
mkdir tmp
chown user.user *
