I set up a new RH 7.3 (kernel 2.4.18-5) with all development tools, updated gcc compilers, etc.

But I just can't recompile the src package: anaconda-7.3-7es82.src.rpm

I get the error "conflicting types for 'sigset_t'" and the compile fails [init.o error 1]

I was able to successfully compile anaconda.  I used a RedHat 7.3 box with all packages installed and did not update the kernel, dev tools, and gcc compilers.

BTW, you are talking about compiling the Mitel version of anaconda right?

Yes, that was the version of anaconda that I compiled and I did it without upgrading the kernel or adding/upgrading the dev-tools.  

If you install RedHat and select "everything" you should already have all the tools you need.  I have tried compiling older versions of Mitel's anaconda on non "everything" RedHat installs and have failed.

That's just what worked for me.
