Hi to all
this week i install sme 5.5 in my home, but when somebody needs to use the micro$oft messanger this show a message "you are using a NAT server, that disable the mic and speakers" is some way to correct this problem???.

The extra features require a direct connection between the clients. You can't get this direct connection unless you forward ports from the router to the target PC. In other words, you have to tell the router that you want certain incoming traffic (the voice stuff) sent to a certain PC on the LAN.

This is not a problem with SME per se, but an incompatibility between how NAT (sharing one internet connection with multiple PCs) works and what Messenger wants to do.

Use Yahoo!! Messenger with a 5.6 box and you'll see video & sound work just fine. Yahoo is much cooler anyway :-)

I thought the latest MSN 5 was supposed to use something called Universal PnP. I guess server needs to support this as well.
