Can anyone help with this. I have installed 5.6 with U4 and FreeSwan from
lordsfam.net twice now with no luck.
rpm -Uvh e-smith-packetfilter-1.13.0*.noarch.rpm
rpm -Uvh freeswan-module-1.99_2.4.18_5*.i386.rpm
rpm -Uvh freeswan-1.99_2.4.18_5*.i386.rpm
rpm -Uvh devinfo-freeswan-1.99*.noarch.rpm
When I test it with
# ipsec eroute
I get
cat: /proc/net/ipsec_eroute: No such file or directory.

I have no problem with 5.5 works every time. Is this a bav set of files or am I missing something (I am usually missing somethisg).

Did everything just as it says, even rebooted but it always says cat: /proc/net/ipsec_eroute: No such file or directory when I run ipsec eroute
I installed 5.6 then U4 then went after FreeSwan.
Did this twice today and twice Friday with the same results.
There has to be something I am missing.

- is ipsec runnign at all? (service ipsec status)
- what does ' ipsec look' tell you?
- Do you have an ipsec0 interface (ifconfig)

All good questions. No its not started, and this is what I get when I start it along with another 50 lines or so.

ipsec_setup: Starting FreeS/WAN IPsec 1.99...
ipsec_setup: /lib/modules/2.4.18-5smp/kernel/net/ipsec/ipsec.o: unresolved symbol kernel_flag_cacheline_Rsmp_dddea225
ipsec_setup: /lib/modules/2.4.18-5smp/kernel/net/ipsec/ipsec.o: unresolved symbol ___pskb_trim_Rsmp_8660650c
ipsec_setup: /lib/modules/2.4.18-5smp/kernel/net/ipsec/ipsec.o: unresolved symbol sk_alloc_Rsmp_7c5ce315
ipsec_setup: /lib/modules/2.4.18-5smp/kernel/net/ipsec/ipsec.o: unresolved symbol sock_no_mmap_Rsmp_012f7d5f

Am I installing in the wrong order. This is just a plain box that 5.5 and FreeSwan works fine on, but each time I install 5.6 U4 and FreeSwan no luck.
