Hi,

I have increased the /var/qmail/control/databytes to 2MB for the mail attachment allowed, however, the qmail is still received the huge file size attachment....

From my understanding SME 5.6 does not use qmail-smtpd.  And thus your modification will have no effect.  
However, SME 5.6 uses mailfront for SMTP and it too has a databytes variable.  Sadly, I do not know myself how to change the value of it.

So if anyone can tell us how to change this it would be greatly appreciated.

In fact, i have discovered a couple of days ago, it works if you change the databytes in /var/service/smtpfront-qmail/env, ie 2MB is 2097152.
