Topic: domain setup question

I have a two sites that have a SME 5.6, site A and site B.

Sites A and B are both independant, but owned by the same CEO who works from site A.

He wants to now create an ADSL VPN between both sites so that he can access files on site B.  How should the SME's be setup?

If its just him alone - run a PPTP session from his computer to the remote site.

If others need to join in then consider using an IPSec link via the Freeswan contrib.

I will probably setup the VPN using IPSEC.

The main question is regarding how to setup the SME's with regard to being (or not) domain controllers. Should they both be part on the same NT domain? Should they both be controllers?  Should only one be a controller?
