Hi,

Has anyone installed squidGuard 3.2 on SME 5.6 I have looked at the README file but it says only for 5.1.2 and 5.5. If squidGuard 3.2 is not the correct tarball where could I find the file to install on 5.6

Thanks for any help

Can you tell me where you find Squidgard for v5.6  I cannot find it on contribs.org and want to add it to my "home" collection of useful contribs.

Thanks

When SG tries to update with a new blacklist I get this error-email in my admin mailbox:

/etc/cron.daily/supdate.cron:

http://ftp.ost.eltele.no/pub/www/proxy/squidGuard/contrib/blacklists.tar.gz:
04:04:55 ERROR 404: Not Found.
tar (child): *: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
cp: cannot stat blacklists/*': No such file or directory

Could anyone give me a good url for downloading blacklists ?

My regards,

Molski

Molski,

I had the same problem, started about a week ago, found this address on www.squidguard.org:

ftp://ftp.teledanmark.no/pub/www/proxy/squidGuard/contrib/blacklists.tar.gz

Works fine, Enjoy!

Steve,

Looks like you have a problem with log roatating as the blacklist line does not have any errors attached to it?

I have the same error and need to know where the configs for squid guard are to put the line in

ftp://ftp.teledanmark.no/pub/www/proxy/squidGuard/contrib/blacklists.tar.gz

is it in a config file or what do I need to do in order to configure it?

Tim,

Open up server-manager and  on the left under the "Security" there should be a "Content Filtering" link, click on that. Then at the bottom of the page on the right there should be a place where you can put this address (Uder the Balcklist Controls heading) and click the "Submit Data" button underneath it and bingo!

Is it required to reboot the server to have Squidguard running?
I need to install it in a production server, and would like to avoid
rebooting.
