You shouldn't have to do that. But let's go back a step to
find out why you did that.

When you say that it wouldn't allow you, what prevented you from
doing it? Was there an error message from the console menu?

Just alt-f3 will get you there, and alt-f1 will get you back.

That number is the default value which gets set when you choose
the factory reset condition. You need to change it from the
console menu interface to change it. You'll have the chance to change it if you choose server only, or server/gateway with
a dedicated connect.
