hi,

i have a dialup SME 5.6u4 mppe (SG) setup for a dedicated dialup account , now i have a dialup problem but when i try to dial-up from Win98 everything is ok, anyone can give me a hand? my error:

your modem init string is not valid. Take a look at the manual for the correct init string.

If the init string were invalid, the modem would tell you.

The problem here is no answer from the remote end (for whatever reason).

thanks guys,

but when i try dialing using windows i cant connect  but not SME. will ask my  isp to give me different dialup number, or if any other ideas?

hi, i can connect if i setup the SME as Private Server and Gateway but not as Server and Gateway, any one have any idea?

hi, i got the problem, it seems that our phone line drop the connection.
