Topic: Opening a port in 5.6

I've followed Synaptic's instructions to get bpalogin installed so I can connect my server to Australia's Bigpond Cable... OK, I can connect.
The problem now is that there must have been a modification to firewall rules since Charles Brady wrote the RPM for this.
I need to open port 5051 so the cable heartbeat can be recieved. Can someone please tell me how to do this in version 5.6 (patched) please?
