Topic: port forwarding under 5.1.2

I've been trying to get port forwarding working on 5.1.2 but must be missing something. It's a fresh install with update3 installed. The port forward rpm is dmc-mitel-portforwarding-0.0.1-5.noarch.rpm, from myezserver.com.

The panel appears in the web interface.

I have a win2k box on my lan running bulletproof ftp server and iis web server and have set up forwarding rules for both of these (ports 666 and 80 - externally mapped to ports 2003 and 2080).

I did manage to get the following feedback from the ftp server when i failed to connect....

(000008) 02/06/2003 10:30:30 - (not logged in) (217.207.###.###) > connected to ip : 0.0.0.0
(000008) 02/06/2003 10:30:30 - (not logged in) (217.207.###.###) > sending welcome message.
(000008) 02/06/2003 10:30:30 - (not logged in) (217.207.###.###) > 220 BulletProof FTP Server ready ...


For some reason, when someone tries to connect through the e-smith server, it returns the ip 0.0.0.0. I just don't know why it does it. Any help would be much appreciated as i need to get this working.

Hi,

I'm fairly certain you are using the wrong version of the port forwarding contrib. The version you are using is probably for SME 5.6 and should not be used for SME 5.1.2. The firewall mechanism in 5.1.2 and 5.6 are not the same and thus the port forwarding modules are also different (as you need to modify the firewall rules when port forwarding).
