Virtual Domain and Delegate Mail
« on: June 03, 2003, 02:39:34 AM »
Hi I would like to setup a virtual domain to receive mail. This mail is currently sent to another box which uses the delegate mail feature to point to my Exchange 2000 Server. Is it possible to receive mail for the primary domain (which already has about 300 accounts) and have mail sent to the virtual domain forwarded onto the exchange server?

Hi Toby,

use the "Vitual Domain" Addon from  www.dungog.net

http://www.dungog.net/sme/products/index.php

Virtual domains
    * configure remote Nameservers or MX records.
    * Define the user@virtualdomain to go to an alternative user, or forward all mail for a domain to a single user. Delegate control of a domain with the userpanel.
    * Delegate control of a virtual domain with the userpanel.

Here you can setup different MX record for each virtual domain.

I'm figuring this is the function i need

* Delegate control of a virtual domain with the userpanel.

As i would not want to do manual forwarding

Have you tried this as I have subscribed to dungog before and not downloaded it. Not keen to pay again if it is not what i need?

Does anyone know how to do from the shell?Peter Schubert wrote:

Presumably modifying the template for this would work?
