Topic: Using E-Smith to port forward email to MS SBS2000 and Termin

Hello

I was wandering if anyone is able to assist or at least point in right direction ... I have a Small Business Server setup on the internal network that handles E-Mail and other SQL database stuff ... I also have another server (member server) that is running Terminal Server, setup as remote application access server for road warriors (salesmen).

I am thinking of putting E-Smith as a gateway (with static external IP) to the internet for these two. However, I would like all email traffic to forward to SBS200 server, and Terminal server requests to its server. I only have 1 IP address so SBS2000 and TS have to be IP addresses of a private range on internal network.

Internal network users should have all access to the internet (browsing, ftp, etc).

Theoretically this should be easy to do ... I have identified ports I would like to open, but being new to UNIX world, I am stuck ...

Hello Nick!    
Everyting that you have to do is install the port forward pacage from link below and after do it go to de server manager and point tcp 25 and 3389 to your internal server!

better yet get your road warriors to pptp to the e-smith box and connect to the terminal server from there and set the "delegate email server" in the sme email settings to point to the sbs exchange and you have a nice secure system capable of email filtering etc

Will get stuck into this thing tonight and see how it goes. Your input is much appreciated.

Mark - I am keen to try and pursue your suggestion further to ensure security. Are you able to elaborate further on this (or even point to some documentation / website), as a secure environment is the ultimate aim in this case.
