Topic: primary permissions

I have a group of users (including admin) called "websters".  They need to have access via SMB to the primary html folder to upload content.

So, I simply did a:

chown websters /home/e-smith/files/primary/html

But that didn't work.  I get an access denied when I try upload content.  I am logged in as admin to my workstation.

When I return the ownership to "admin", it works again.  I have searched the forums and I can't find a way to do this.  I have little interest in creating an i-bay and then creating a vdomain.

This is one of the things improved in the 6.0 beta developer's release.

You can now reassign the primary website to any i-bay.

I just don't understand why I can't assign a group with chown to the primary folders... that SHOULD work.  Oh well.
