Pentavalue Pentamedia Satellite card and pptp-VPN.

Hi,

We have a few redhat machines at work running with pentavalue cards
and using pptp to connect out, the system works 100% and provides
a decent amount of bandwidth.

We wanted to install SME at some clients places with the same setup.
The driver compiles, the kernel module loads, all on 5.6.
The pptp-VPN works 100%.

Hell, I can see the packets coming into the pentaval0 interface with tcpdump.

However, the system doesn't seem to be registering them, it is strange.
I thought it was the firewalling, flushed and still nothing.

Could somebody please put forward an idea about this, we've run out.

Thank you in advance.

I have found that I have exactly the same result with sme versions 5.5, 5.6 and 6.0.

The driver compiles, and runs, however I cannot see any data coming into the pentaval0 interface via a TCPDump.

I am about to attempt to compile the driver on a redhat machine with the same kernel verion as SME 6.0 and make rpm.  Finally install the resulting rpm onto an SME 6.0 machine and see how we go from there.

One thing I haven't checked though is the default route.  What should the default route be for a satellite setup?
