Very true, it's not unusual to do that. I do that too.

I believe this software is meant for small to medium enterprises - hosting multiple sites sure, but multiple sites for one enterprise, not multiple sites for multiple enterprises.
When it comes to email, it's first and foremost about one user account for each member of the enterprise. Everything else is gravy.
