Squidguard works for some, not all

I have a small LAN that is using e-smith for its email server.  Internet access is through a Cisco router and fractional T-1 line.  E-smith running in server only mode.

I installed squidguard, including the transproxy rpm, and the porn database.  If I am logged into my Win2K machine as mikecoan, then I am blocked from www.playboy.com, so squidguard appears to be working fine.  That is true whether I set the gateway to the e-smith server (192.168.1.4) or to the inside router address (192.168.1.254).

If I am logged iinto the Win2K machine as Administrator, or as just guest, the I can reach www.playboy.com.  The machine has a static IP address.

Why is squidguard working for some users at my machine, but not all.

Thanks

I would suspect it's because the "mikecoan" userid is defined as a user on e-smith, and therefore is using its services, while the other two IDs are not and are therefore bypassing transproxy. This is speculation on my part, but having played a little with Win2K on an e-smith domain, I would look at that first.

Des,

Thanks for the tip.  That makes sense and I will try it when I get to the office
