Secure SMTP

Hi,
I have an e-smith 5.5 server and am wanting to add secure smtp etc to
allow some outside network users to send mail. I note that the howto
contrib referred to in many places here
(
http://kepler.covenant.edu/~talarson/ssl/SSL-Email-HOWTO-2.html#2.1
) is
showing version 4.1.2 compatibility. Will this work for 5.5?
Also, do you have any tips to make this easier...
Thanks,
Rob Wilson

Try downloading the secure smtp addon for SME
http://www.lordsfam.net/downloads/production/securemail/
download and install...
imaps,pop3s and ssmtp ones needs a --nodeps.
hope it works.

Thanks for that. Sorry to be obtuse and paranoid but I REALLY need this to not break the server. Is there a howto on this for 5.5 that anyone knows of?

Damien has built a nice contrib for secure SMTP:
http://www.pagefault.org/code/e-smith.shtml#securemail
Make sure you get the right version.
