Blocking Email Attachments

Hello,

I have been a user of RAV for the past year and am totally happy with the services it provides. Unfortunatly as you all know it is being discontinued, so we all have to look for alternatives, now I have made a list of the major services RAV provided:

1. E-mail virus scanning
2. Content Filtering - via email addresses/domains/etc
3. Content Filtering - via email attachments
4. Content Filtering - via online blacklists, eg spamcop/dsbl/etc

Now I cannt find something that can do all of that straight out of the box, but have found similar alternatives:

1. There are heaps of other AV software which can scan emails, take your pick.
2. Darrell May's Mailfront Mailrules contrib
4. Darrell May's dsbl contrib

No I am not blind, I did leave 3 out because there is not much out there that can do this, well at least not very well documented, so I am trying out some possibilities. One of which is Anomy Sanitizer
(http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=12420.msg46639#msg46639 & http://mailtools.anomy.net/). Now I am wondering if anyone out there has installed it and is using it successfully because I am looking at how to install and it looks pretty complicated, you have to download qmailqueue-patch (is this already on 5.6?) and install tcpserver (ucspi-tcp), but it looks like you have to do some compiling, which I have never done and dont feel like going through and downloading all the dev tools and learning how to compile and stuff.

I'm guessing if ou then use any AV software you'll have to put it in somewhere, and then configure qmail to act as a relay server! It all seems a bit complicated for me, anyone feeling like doing a bit of tutoring?

Thanks,

Cyrus Bharda

I have installed a SME 5.5 and the RAV License have just expired,

I have installed secure mail working fine now I can't make it work with
the Vexira Antivirus for Qmail from centralcommand.com,

Have you tried to installed this?

It looks pretty forward when you are using defaults ports 25,
