No content on the ACID page display?

No content on the ACID page display?

Sirs

Newly rebuilt SME5.6u4 server/gateway.
I see some activity in the Guardian and Snort logs.
But there is nothing displayed on the ACID page but its banner line;~/
Never used this addon before now so am at a slight disadvantage.
Is there supposed to be stuff displayed on the ACID page?

best wishes, Robert

(follow up with additional information)

Found this in the log...

Sep 14 18:28:55 nas600 httpd: PHP Warning:  Unknown(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/opt/administration/acid/acid_main.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/e-smith/files/ibays/stbcom) in Unknown on line 0
Sep 14 18:28:55 nas600 httpd: PHP Warning:  Unknown(/opt/administration/acid/acid_main.php): failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in Unknown on line 0
Sep 14 18:28:55 nas600 httpd: PHP Warning:  (null)(): Failed opening '/opt/administration/acid/acid_main.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in Unknown on line 0

...isn't this a known gotcha for PHP or something, I vaguely remember the words *open_basedir* coming up in some circular about the suitability of some programmes with a later update of PHP or something like that.

In answer to the next question... .
I used Greg Zartman's HOWTO for upgrading SME5.6 with PHP, Horde and IMP. Even I found it to be blindingly clear and wonderfully straightforward...

(information follow up)

Have tried rebooting. Turned errors on in php.ini and my attempt to use ACID then causes this to show under the ACID banner...
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare unixdate() in /opt/administration/acid/adodb/adodb.inc.php on line 1223

Any ideas?

I'm not familiar with ACID but if it runs in an i-bay, you could try this:

I hear what you're saying but it is running from /opt/... not an ibay.

I have PHPSYSINFO running happily in an ibay. I have my GALLERY site running too in an ibay and that uses PHP though I says this in a very loose sense;~/ It hasn't fallen over but there again I haven't stressed it or tried to upgrade it yet.

I'm not familiar with ACID/SNORT or GUARDIAN either, their installation was as a direct result of some of the circumstances that lead me to decide to rebuild the server from scratch. They look the business but I'd like to get them to work in their full capacity:-)

This afternoon I rebuilt the newly rebuilt server;~/

Made sure to install PHPmyAdmin very early to confirm PHP was sound. Have done all this before attempting the u2 and u4 SME updaters and, particularly, before even considering any updating of PHP (by any method).

As of this minute I have *content* on my ACID page display. Doesn't mean much to me at the moment but I have no doubt I will learn soon enough:-)
