NO, the sme kernel do not support ALL the features of the ipx protocol.
If you need to share a connection with a novell server in SME you need the ncpfs packet. Search for it in rpmfind.net y download any old version of redhat 5 to 6.2.
I´m use an old system called MARS NWE, is a novel 4 emulator y works fine, but DON´T WORK in my 5.5 SME box. Download it in
http://systemhaus.gkdmedien.de/mars_nwe/index.html (only tar.gz) or find a rpm in rpmfind.net.
