Does esmith use linux's ipchains "firewall" and is there config
for it..have not yet recieved esmith but am waiting. just wondering.

Hello,

Yes, e-smith uses ipchains. The firewall rules are not configurable via the user interface though; rather, a standard configuration is used for all installations.

Advanced users can edit the firewall template files however, and customize to their heart's content.

Future versions of e-smith will offer a selection of firewalling configurations via the user interface.

I look at webmin ( www.webmin.com ) they have ipchans firewall configuration, may be we can contact the developer to porting to e-smith for Firewall config
