Mail relay through ISP is not allowed error
« on: June 08, 2001, 03:44:08 PM »
Hello all,

I've set up my eSmith 4.1.2 server to handle mail retrieval as "standard", secondary mail server set as the ISP address with correct username and password.

The "other mail settings" is set with the ISP's mail server name, POP and IMAP as private.

When I try to send an email message to the "outside" on the internet, the ISP rejects the email with the following error:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at alyousif.tv.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

:
193.188.97.193 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550 relaying mail to cpointbahrain.com is not allowed
Giving up on 193.188.97.193.

Can someone help in this please, how can I set up the system so that I can send and receive email normally to the outside world?

Many thanx
Mahmood

Okay guys, forget about this one.

Fixed it by removing the ISP's mail server entry in the "other mail settings", now its blank and it works!
