Just wondering if anyone can make a sugestion, we are trying to setup a games realm using tunnels to a cental e-smith machine but for some reason when someone is running as a multiplayer server on a pptpd connection then no one can see the running game.

Yea i know, we should not be playing games in work time :) But hey ...whats the use of all this power if you cant abuse it from time to time.

Also is there any way of making the ipx/spc protocol work over the pptpd connection?

Thanks in advance for any assistance

After posting i thought it would have been a good idea to add some info on the current config.

Site 1:
ADSL connection (ports open to allow tunnel)
e-smith server (v 5.6)
workstation with Warcraft3 running in host mode

Site 2:
ADSL connection
Workstation with tunnel open to Site 1

Workstaion on Site2 can ping workstation on Site1 and visa versa.
IP has been set for Worstation on site2 by the esmith server

Warcraft uses port 6112 howevert this should not be an issue as both machines are essentially connected via the VPN. For some reason the Workstation on Site2 can not see the game hosted on the Workstation on Site1

You could try going into the properties for your vpn connection, the networking tab, the install... protocol... NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol item

The problem does not appear to be the IPX/SAP protocol as thougt, Warcraft only uses TCP but for some reason we can not see each other. However we did try installing the IPX/SAP and this generated an error in the tunnel saying that that protoc in not supported.
