Using SpamAssassin Filtering and Email server delegation

Is it possible to have SME as a firewall/email proxy in front
of another email server (Lotus Notes or Exchange) and have all
their email filtered with the SME Spam Assassin Contrib?

I know that the feature to use is Email delegation, but will this work
with Spam Assassin?

Hi,
I am using sitewide spamassassin to tag email and forward to internal lotus domino mail server. The Domino server has a filtering database called "kspam" that does a great job of redirecting all tagged mail to a database that I can keep an eye on ;-)
6.03 has SA ready to rock so you just need to turn on...

Shane,
Are you "forwarding the emails" or using the email server delegation feature of SME.

BTW How do I enable SA in SME 6 Beta 03 ???Shane wrote:

I updated Greg Zartman's SpamAssassin contrib for SME 6b3. This will activate SA and install a panel in the server-manager. You can find it at http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/mblotwijk/Contribs/SpamAssassin/

Michiel,

Could you please throw the SRPM up there as well.  Thanks.

Hi,

Just wondering....in the filename of your contrib there is "2.60" which is the newest version of spamassassin. My SME 6.0 box has spamassassin-2.53-1 installed. Is this anything to worry about? Do I need to upgrade?

Thanks

Michiel

I tested it with 2.60, but there really is no reason why it shouldn't work with 2.53. Nevertheless I would recommend to upgrade to 2.60 as it catches more spam. Just get the latest rpm's from www.spamassasin.org.

I am using the "email server delegation feature".
Btw I am not using procmail. All email passes through SA
