Trying again ... email username "foo@bar.com" does

So many new threads posted daily, my question seems to've been lost in the shuffle.

Server is 5.6 with all updates, SSMTP installed so my dad can send personal email from inside his corporate network, otherwise stock email.

Briefly, my domain registrar, Domain Direct, is moving to a new email system that will require me to login with "foo@bar.com" instead of just plain "foo".  I've tried to make this change and it reverts to "foo" every time in the Server Manager window!  I've tried enclosing it in quotes and escaping the "@" with a backslash, but no go.

I'm sure there's some clever way to do it by hacking around with fetchmail but I'd rather do it with Server Manager; I can't be the only one this is going to affect, now or in the future.
