Topic: HOST UNREACHABLE

Hello all,

i have installed SME 5.6 as private server&gateway.
I have 2 ethernet adapters in it.
1st - Compaq (Intel EtherXpress 10/10) - eepro driver
2nd - DEC Tulip 21143 - tulip driver

First card is attached to switch that is on Internet network
Second card is attached to LAN switch (20 workstations)

When i try to ping ANY address in LAN i get response NETWORK UNREACHABLE. I tried with Planet 9504 (Realtek 8139D) instead of
DEC Tulip but same problem occured.

Network setup follows -
1st card (Internet) - IP: 213.xxx.xxx.xxx SUBNET:255.255.255.224 (INTERNET WORKS
PERFECTLY FROM SME BOX)

2nd card (LAN) - IP: 192.168.0.1 SUBNET: 255.255.255.0
Other lan workstations are 192.168.0.101-120 with SUBNET 255.255.255.0

I tried 10.0.0.1/255.255.255.0 but same problem occured.

Please help me.

Have you got two identical ethernet cards?
I suspect you've got a driver problem and the best way to be sure of that is to have two identical cards with identical drivers.

just tried that and same thing happened
i put 2 Compaq cards. Internet OK, LAN not OK
