Topic: mail retrieval via smtp

Hello,

We receive mail via SMTP and the isp (Demon.nl) server does not support ETRN or TURN. Mail is delivered automaticaly after a connection (fixed ip) is established. The 'standard' option triggers a connection every 5 minutes and that becomes a little expensive. Can anyone tell me howto set the email retrieval settings so that the 'standard' option does not dial every 5 minutes and we still be able to use the SMTP protocol?
