Topic: Gallery on 6.0 Final

I just wanted to let everyone know that the new Gallery v1.4.1 work very well on SME 6.0 final.  I mainly followed Dan Brown's How-to along with the Gallery documentation and just used updated files.

Here's what I installed:

libtiff-3.5.7-2.i386.rpm
netpbm-9.24-3.i386.rpm
netpbm-progs-9.24-3.i386.rpm
(I got these from rpmfind.net)
jhead 2.0
(got this from www.sentex.net/~mwandel/jhead/jhead)
gallery-1.4.1
(sourceforge.net)

This version of Gallery has a much better configuration menu that tells you if your setup has problems.  I missed one step in the how-to and the config menu found it and told me to go back and change it before it would let me continue.

This version also has "Skins" that can be used and modified to your liking.  I think they have done a great job with this version.

Really not needed as the installation is a simple as for 5.5 and 5.6

Yes.  I previously ran Gallery1.3 on SME5.5, but have also upgraded to SME6.0 and Gallery 1.4.  

Did you install ImageMagick from  http://www.imagemagick.org/   ? ... I didn't and the graphic manipulation seems to function normally.
