ClamAv viruses.db error
« on: January 10, 2004, 06:35:58 PM »
I get the following error email :

------
Cron    /usr/bin/freshclam --quiet -l /var/log/clamav/freshclam.log

ERROR: The checksum of viruses.db database isn't ok. Please check it yourself or try again.
------

I don't know what to du know. I have done nothing. It happened last night after updating.
I have tried to update the db manual but it didn't work out.

Can someone help me?

Grtz

Arjan

Same problem here.

To calm you down I have already experienced this once or twice before with ClamAV and it seems to be something occuring now and then. After a while the viruses.db is updated correctly. Don't know what's causing the checksum failure though.

If someone would care to explain?

Anyways there probably is an answer to find on clamAV's site :-)

Cheers

I suggest taking a look at the ClamAV mail-list.
I found this:
