How about some kind of user replication across more than one e-smith....
We have one e-smith web/mail serving, and the other file/print.  Same users...but getting tricky to manage the users between the two servers

We do intend to provide such features, but not in the near future.

In the shorter term, I'd be curious to know why you have chosen to use two servers, and why you have split the load the way that you have. You could try using just a single server. Or you could set up your gateway server to use the second as its delegated mail server. This way you'd have the web server on your gateway machine, and do mail/file/print on the other. With the current e-smith configuration, this will be easier to set up, and as I think it's unlikely that you will need all your files and all your users on the web server/gateway machine, this might do all you need without any modification.

In fact I have a client who is looking for a multiple server implementation of e-smith.

The why is for redundancy and load sharing, as well as hot standby.

It really doesn't do much good to argue with them (clients) either. (GRIN)

They have also asked for DHCP for multiple class c networks from one box.

I implemented webmail on the web/mail server....and the other server is file/print (Samba) only.  This way, I don't have my internal users loading down the web server with disk robbing file and print services
