While I think disabling the ctrl-alt-del is a great idea, we have a simpler solution
for critical e-smith machines. REMOVE the keyboard, monitor, and mouse after e-smith is fully configured and running.
We have also added UPS's to each e-smith machine. Also, the reset, and power buttons are at the rear of each computer. So, at my home/office it is almost impossible to knock a server off line.
