LCDproc display support could also be nice.

Displaying traffic, connections, ...

I do have a dedicated machine for e-Smith, that machine does not need a full monitor, except for installing and some other specific task.

I have bought this 2 lines LCD display and hookit up using lcdproc. It works fine, but all manual configuration which can cause problems if I upgrade eSmith.

I would be interested in more information about the display you have and what it takes to set it up. If we have this information someone might even make an addin for it.

Thanks

I have seen the software and some of the displays.

The software is located at....

http://lcdproc.omnipotent.net/

A good source for ready to use displays is...

http://linuxcentral.com

I have been thinking about putting one of these in an e-smith box I am putting together. If the software was already installed during installation it would be a big help. It would also be useful to control what information the device displays via the web interface.

Just a thought.
