I thought that E-Smith could be released with optional packages that can be installed off a separate CD. Therefore the main ISO is the basic package and as new stuff like juke boxes etc appear you can download a RPM or insert a CD etc.
This way the main OS would be the same but have options available to suit other needs, such as the Anti Virus gateway I saw mentioned.
There would be an option to "install additional supported packages" and it would go through the great text based wizard and get you to type the admin password and agree to the conditions and then configure the package by answering simple questions.
It could also serve as the reverse to remove packages. If the packages being added do not support the strict security requirement and simplistic approach of E-
Server they are not supported or "certified".
Or, it only supports packages released by E-Smith after the certification process.
