I have 2 servers; my web/mail server running e-Smith, and a game server, which runs Windows XP. Currently,
www.domain.com points to the web server, as it should. I have had my DNS host to add a host using a third level domain, games.domain.com. Both machines have internet-legal static IPs, and sit side-by-side on the network.
When I am outside the building, I can access games.domain.com, but when inside, I can't. Even when I am at the game server itself, it cannot resolve that hostname. However, it can reach itself using the static IP. To clarify, the game server has 2 IPs: the static ip, and a DHCP address assigned to it by the e-Smith server to access it's internal-network-only features.
Does e-Smith need to be configured to recognize another host with its domain?
If so, where can I find docs on this? Or can someone tell me how to add the host?
