Topic: Error ups with ubs

Hi,
I would like to use e-smith 5.6 with a USV APC CS500.
The USV has only one USB connection..
I installed Darrel contrib (- as in the discussion
"USB Support for UPS monitoring") and a new apcupsd package (3.10.5 and Darrel cames with 3.8.5!).
But every time I start: /etc/rc.d/init.d/apcupsd start
i see the error:
FATAL ERROR in linux-usb.c at line 614
Cannot open UPS device
What is the linux-usb.c . I can't find it on the e-smith.
Which is my error?

Your first error is that you're posting a request for help to the wrong place, again.

Does that sound like the correct place for your request for help?

How about:

Installation problems, comments, feedback, and basic questions about the e-smith server and gateway."
