I am a radio amateur, I do have a 256 Adsl permanent Internet link
I am runinig the 6.03 version today, I did found that the ax25, netrom,
rose, modules are up in the kernel but (always some) there is missing for
tcp/ip work the mkiss, 6pack, bpqether, baycom_par and baycom_epp.

If we can get this modules in for next update for sure will make life
much easy, then the same Mitel server will have access to Internet trough
radio for the Radio Amateur community.

We did tried to compile the Kernel with this modules but had a lot off
problems, I am not to good with Linux.

In the next few months I will try to setup mkiss as a module.  I will also try to get soundmodem setup in user mode which requires mkiss.  I did have problems with Redhat v 8 and 9 creating a mkiss module so I switched to Mandrake.  I will post the results.

Long time since this post, but are there any news about soporting ax25 in sme? has someone got it to work?

Hi Yes we did it work, after a bounch of fighting and mumbling IS up and runnig ofering a UHF 9,6 kbps link for internet access over radio.

Off course it will bee fine for APRS igate, next week will set up one at Rosario Argentina my home town.
