Topic: POP3 not working in 6.0 B3

Hi!

After a long time with SME 5.6 I want ti switch to a larger harddisk (120GB).

In this time (an now) i used 5.6 without any problems, no POP3-Problems nothing.

Now, after installing 6.0 B3 I can't fetch mail from my ISP!!

I have a second installation in a VMWare virtual maschine works great with exactly the same konfiguration.

Perhaps I've forgotten anything what totally new in version 6.0.

My Settings: multidrop
Secondary mail server  : 123.123.123.123
Every 5 min

My maillog is totaly empty (0 KB). It seems that my server has no connection to the internet but the connection test is positive.

Have a solution.

Downgrade to a 80 GB Harddisk
Install 5.6



Perhaps adding another 80 GB Hardisk for more Space...

I know its not the best news location for this but did you find the solution as I have same issue in 6.0 B3 and 6.0 final. What port in sme needs to be open to retrieve from POP mail which is I think 110 on the ISP.

Use the final release and your pop3 dramas should go away, I had the same issues with b3 and there was a know issue with mail in that release, even upgrading the post b3 updates resolved it at the time but the final version is the way to go. Any reason why you want to use a beta with bugs instead of the final release?
