Hi, I'm administrator of a computer science classroom and I have had the demand from part of the teacher to suspend the access to Internet during the lessons, to exception of the moments in which the students they must effectively work in net. So I have the necessity to block and to restore the connection also more times every hour...
I have the SME Server 5.6 and I have tried to use the e-smith-squid-restrict-ip-0.1-1.noarch.rpm to block the access.
I have listed all the fix IP address (included those of the serveur (side lan and gateway)) and I have tried to surf in Internet. All ok. Then I have tried to eliminate the IP of the gateway (Set up as such on all the PC) and have obtained one momentary suspension of the logon.
After a ten of second, the logon is restored and I do not succeed more in stop it (in spite of the IP of the gateway is blocked).
I could eliminate all IP addresses, but it is a particularly long operation to make... There is a less expensive way in order to obtain the same result?
