Topic: Lan printer problem SME 6.0 final

I have installed the latest version on a new computer. (A 5.6 version was running perfect but I wanted to go to 6.0)

When adding my HP jetdirect print server as network printer a blank page screen was seen. after a refresh the printer (RAW or with the full name) was added. I tried adding the printer on my XP machine, it worked, but a test print was added to the queue. The were never printed. (I tested to install the printserver on my xp and that worked immediately).

What do I have to do to make the printer print?

Could you please post information from the log /var/log/messages*. from the time that this error occured. This could give us some hints.

And please delete the duplicate posting.
