Topic: Graphing qmail stats with AWstats

I am looking for a way to graph my qmail stats.

I know there are utilities such as mrtg and cacti that will do this, however i'd rather not install a seperate tool when it seems all i need to do is add mail graphs to AWstats:

AWstats is able to graph the mail stats, as detailed in http://awstats.sourceforge.net/docs/awstats_faq.html#LOGFORMAT - this would be great, as i already use AWstats to watch my hosted domains, and the stats for mail and web for each virtual domain would be in the same place.   However, I don't understand enough about how the stats jobs are run to know how to add a mail job like in the link above....
