you forgot to run
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event remoteaccess-update
This will rebuild all the relevant config files with new DB settings and restart services to activate the change.

Thanks for the suggestion. Sadly, it didn't work. I can still see the references to the bad network IP in the .conf files

It did rewrite /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf as the file size has shrunk, but /etc/httpd/admin-conf/httpd.conf did not change in size, so it may not have been modified.
However, I don't get the error when I restart the httpd service anymore, so that's promising!
I'm still getting the "502 Proxy Error" when trying to access server-manager (or any of the domains I'm hosting.)
The good news is that email is still working.
Further ideas?
