Topic: no access to email via the internet only LAN

hi all,
I looked around but cant figure this out, I got sme 6.0 installed and get to the email or webmail from the iternet only the LAN. can someone help me out, I'm anewbie to linux.

As I understand it:
- You can access the webmail from the local network.
- You can NOT access webmail from the internet.

Could you describe a bit more about your installation ?

Is the SME installed behind a firewall ?
Is the SME installed as server or gateway ?
Are you using secure HTTPS or HTTP webmail ?
